I enjoy working in-house because it allows me to truly understand the business and see the tangible impact of my work. Being part of the wider team means I can contribute to strategic commercial decisions, not just legal ones, and build strong, trusted relationships across the organisation. As a commercial property lawyer, I know just how central property can be to a business. It is where people work, where customers or clients walk through the door, and where so much of daily life happens, so getting the documentation right really matters. I particularly value taking complex legal issues and making them accessible, so we can work collaboratively to solve problems and deliver practical outcomes that make a real difference for SMEs
Hello I’m Fiona…
WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
THE EXPERIENCE I BRING
I worked in international law firms as a commercial property lawyer before moving in-house, where I was Head of Legal for a large media business. In that role, I led on all property matters, from negotiating leases and drafting templates to managing legal processes, resolving disputes and advising senior stakeholders on strategic issues. I have broad experience across commercial property transactions, with particular expertise in negotiating commercial leases and related documents. Alongside this, I run my own small business, which gives me a practical, commercial perspective that I bring to all of my legal work
WHEN I'M NOT WORKING
I recently swapped London for Bristol and am embracing a house renovation project and a new life with my partner and two young children. I’m a passionate traveller, having worked in four countries and visited over 60 and I am always planning the next adventure. I also founded and run Little Lawyers, a passion project that teaches young people essential legal and life skills, so they step into adulthood ready to advocate for themselves and navigate whatever the world throws at them
