I spent 9 years at a City law firm in their Corporate, Commercial and Projects team, working on a wide variety of general corporate and commercial matters principally across the FMCG, travel and hospitality industries. During this time I got a taste of inhouse life through secondments to Associated British Ports plc, Avaya UK and Toyota (GB) plc, and also began to develop a passion for working with clients in the hospitality industry
I moved inhouse to InterContinental Hotels Group where I spent 9 years, including as Head of Legal – Growth leading the legal support for IHG’s development teams across South Asia, Australasia and Japan
I then joined Belmond, part of the LVMH family, as Vice President Legal managing a team of legal experts advising on all aspects of Belmond’s business globally, including sales and marketing, development and M&A, construction, asset management, operations, branding and IP, HR, data protection, technology and company secretarial
I also served as a member of global and regional senior leadership teams and crisis response teams
I live in Surrey with my wife and two young daughters and we all love the outdoors, so whenever possible we’ll be up the side of a mountain or on some other kind of adventure
I’m a keen ultra runner so can often be found running some trails with our german shorthaired pointer Bear for company
