I enjoy working closely with ambitious management teams and being part of a business as it grows and evolves.
Much of what I do is about bringing clarity – taking complex or uncertain situations and turning them into straightforward, practical advice that can be easily understood and acted on. I’m solutions-focused and enjoy finding a way forward rather than simply highlighting risk.
I trained at SJ Berwin, qualifying as a finance lawyer in 2007, and went on to work at Ashurst and Eversheds before moving in house.
Since then, I’ve built my career across high-growth SMEs.
I’ve held a number of senior roles, including General Counsel at Atrato Group, where I established and led the legal function and worked alongside the founders as part of the management team. My experience to date covers a wide range of strategic, transactional and contentious matters, including a successful IPO, significant corporate governance experience, and the sale of a renewables business.
I’m very much a commercially minded generalist who thrives on variety and new challenges. I like to think that I am approachable and easy to work with, and focus on delivering advice that is clear, concise and that ultimately helps businesses to make decisions with confidence.
I live in North London with my wife and our two children who ensure that I am kept busy and on my toes.
Outside of work, I enjoy skiing, keeping fit and following football religiously. I also like to spend time in the south of France each summer for good food, warm weather and a great bottle of wine or two!
