Hello I'm Chris...

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO

I am at my best working closely with business teams to really understand their strategic objectives, which enables me to provide the best practical support and identify sound solutions to any legal or regulatory challenges they face. I enjoy working as part of a team, leveraging my experience but always willing to learn and improve.

THE EXPERIENCE I BRING

I trained at Norton Rose before moving inhouse to Shell International working as a corporate lawyer for 5 years. For the last 20 or so years I have worked mainly in the technology, media and telecoms sectors, I was Deputy General Counsel for Orange SA where I also headed up their M&A Team and supported over 20 operations worldwide. I then spent 10 years at Turner Broadcasting where I was EMEA General Counsel and then 3 years as a general manager, which helped me to be more rounded as a lawyer. More recently, I was Chief Legal Officer of a Dutch Telco wholesale telco business and have also supported a Ugandan based tech company.

WHEN I'M NOT WORKING

I live in South East London, with my wife Lesley, and our three children. I love spending time with them and am always trying to improve the quality and variety of food that I cook for us. I am also trying to spend some time improving my tennis playing skills at our local club. For most of my career I have travelled fairly extensively, and now that is largely over I am focusing on some community projects. I have just been appointed to the Independent Monitoring Board for HMP Brixton, and recently completed my training as a restorative justice facilitator.
