THE EXPERIENCE I BRING
I bring over 25 years’ inhouse and private practice legal experience, across roles based in the UK, the Middle East and Asia-Pacific. This has included nearly a decade as a General Counsel, heading up award-winning legal departments and advising boards of directors and C-suite colleagues as a member of senior leadership teams.
My expertise is broad and comprehensive, with significant commercial contract experience, including licensing, production, distribution, technology procurement, operations, marketing, and sales. My experience across multiple other legal disciplines includes intellectual property, brand protection, disputes, corporate and financing.
I qualified as a corporate lawyer at city firm Bryan Cave Leighton Paisner, before moving inhouse, first to Sky for 9 years, and then to other innovative, fast-moving B2B and B2C businesses in the media and technology industries. Consequently, I developed broad legal skills and a strong business acumen, leaving me well placed to provide practical and commercial legal support and advice
WHEN I'M NOT WORKING
I live in London with my wife and two sons. As well as a passion for film, music and sport, I’m a keen runner and am always on the lookout for ever more exotic half-marathon destinations to add to those I’ve completed in Dubai, Malaysia, Singapore and Australia
