I’ve been fortunate to have worked across Financial Services and Technology sectors (including Fintech) and have deliberately avoided becoming entrenched in “following the process”. I have a growth mindset and look broadly for useful and informative insights which can benefit my clients, wherever that may come from.

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
THE EXPERIENCE I BRING
I started my career at Norton Rose Fulbright in the corporate team focusing on M&A and regulatory issues across insurance and life and pensions markets. Since then, I have held various senior legal roles in-house initially advising on and managing large strategic transformation programmes (including at Friends Life and Guardian Financial Services) but subsequently moving into more wide-ranging general counsel advisory roles.
More recently, I moved into a hybrid role as the Chief Operating Officer (and sole lawyer) at Tracr, the De Beers Group backed Web 3.0 start-up, taking it from incubation through to pilot launch. I have also consulted for PwC across my areas of experience (including Insurance, Blockchain and Fintech/Insurtech).
Having worked in listed institutions, start-ups and private equity backed portfolio companies, I have first-hand knowledge of the differing pressures and styles of legal advice and support required but equally, the consistent need for a rigorous focus on quality. The ability to adapt, iterate and learn quickly is fundamental to providing effective and meaningful advice in-house and most acutely within an SME.
WHEN I'M NOT WORKING
I live in Hertfordshire with my wife, two daughters and a misbehaved cocker spaniel. I am a governor at my children’s school. Alongside trying to keep fit and travelling (as often as I am able), I am 3 years into a never-ending project of restoring (and upgrading!) a 1986 Land Rover 90.
