An introduction by Andy Collier
In pre Covid times, ADR was already gaining ground. With Covid19 already creating more complications and disputes and a potential court backlog, we may need ADR more than ever. MIL have kindly arranged a session for us to understand this area further and a full agenda is below.
In this 30-minute video, Jonathan Waters covers the following areas:
- An introduction to ADR
- The ‘cost’ of litigation (overview of traditional court process, focus on the ‘cost’ to an SME)
- Alternatives to litigation (Arbitration and Mediation; overview of how they work and the pros and cons of each)
- Practical examples of Arbitration & Mediation in practice
- Q&A
The session is presented by Jonathan Waters, LLB, LLM, MCIArb, CMC. Registered Mediator, Barrister and Dispute Resolution Expert at My Inhouse Lawyer.
