The most rewarding part of my role, is getting to know a business, from the inside out so that I can develop strategic, legal and commercial solutions that add real value. I love working closely with the management team, sharing their journey and helping deliver their goals and ambitions. I also enjoy being able to manage and resolve challenges which is where I feel I can really add value. Being often told “I am not like a traditional lawyer”, I take as a real compliment!

WHY I LOVE WHAT I DO
THE EXPERIENCE I BRING
Having been a partner in a national law firm, a general counsel and a commercial director, I believe I can bring a wide range of skills and experience. In private practice, I led a national construction and built environment practice, acting for developers, contractors, funders and utilities with both an advisory and dispute resolution practice. In industry, I worked with a large public body and a FTSE 250 utility and waste company where I was involved in major development, infrastructure and energy projects. More recently, I have really enjoyed supporting the growth businesses in the renewable energy sector, particularly in relation to emerging technologies. I have been fortunate to work as a commercial director which developed my understanding of the wider commercial and financial imperatives that under-pin business strategy.
WHEN I'M NOT WORKING
I like to nourish my creative side by directing (and occasionally acting) in the theatre. I am also a rugby and cricket addict and a fair weather cyclist! We love France and try and get there as often as we can.
